Warren Snow

 

Warren Snow is an American Society for Quality Certified Quality Auditor and Quality Engineer, a Registrar Accreditation Board Quality System Lead Auditor and a management consultant with more than twenty years of experience in the quality field.  He has held positions in quality engineering, test engineering, reliability engineering, product engineering, manufacturing engineering and management at Fortune 500 companies such as Data General and Motorola in addition to start ups such as Ixia/Axil Computer and API Networks.   He also has consulting experience with various organizations in the medical device industry, cable manufacture, chemicals, communications systems integration, computer hardware/software, metal fabrication, electrical generation and fire protection gear.  Warren is the principal consultant for First Quality Systems Support of Leicester, MA, which specializes in assisting companies with quality system consulting & auditing and office management.

 

Warren spent more than eighteen years with Data General (a $1 Billion Westboro, MA corporation) in positions that included QA Manager, Reliability Engineering Manager and various technical support positions across many product lines.  His responsibilities included coordinating international quality activities for the Southboro, MA facility, coordinating reliability engineering activities between Southboro and Nippon Data General and assisting Field Engineering with critical customer support issues.  As Quality Manager and Senior Staff Systems Engineer at Motorola, Warren coordinated quality and test activities for the ISG Systems Division for two years (communications systems integrator).

 

Warren received his AS (Electronic Communications) from Quinsigamond College and his BS (Electronic Engineering) from Central New England College in addition to attending graduate business courses, management courses, technical courses and foreign language courses at Anna Maria College, Assumption College, Clark University, UCLA and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.  He is a senior member of the ASQ and the IEEE as well as a Boston IEEE Reliability AdCom member.

 

His certifications include CQA, CQE, QSLA and he has served as a Massachusetts Quality Award examiner.  He received a "Quality Leadership" award from Data General, published an internal Data General  technical paper on "Integration Testing for the Nineties" and was presented with an ISO 9002 recognition plaque by Motorola.

 

Warren's hobbies include downhill skiing (past NASTAR racing team captain), SCUBA diving (YMCA Scuba Lifesaving and Accident Management diver) and hiking.
